I was lucky enough to be living in Surrey during most of that period so managed to get out and about quite a bit.

There's a bit of a old school goa revival going on in Europe atm from certain labels. ).about 2 years i was self employed selling vinyl on Ebay..i have sold the lot to move to Cambs...broke my heart!

I'm not talking about the Infected Mushroom stuff, I mean the more acid house sounding stuff from 1993/4 from labels like Dragonfly, TIP etc... I haven't been able to listen to Hardcore for quite a few years. =(I used to go to the Point Inn and Kellys(before it became Lush) back in 1992......heady days and nights. If i could have went to any event back in the day that i missed...would have been Quadrant Park events....atmosphere, dj's and tunes had to be seen to be believed.

Celles et ceux qui laissent leur smartphone au vestiaire pour affronter les mystères de la nuit ne sont pas concernés par cette innovation qui, à défaut de nous rapprocher de nos semblables, nous collera encore un peu plus aux écrans de nos téléphones.

We’re free spirited, energetic, and have a zest for life that few others can keep up with or even begin to understand. We connect with the fashion, music, and culture of the movement.

I should really grow up and move past this point in my past, but as some dj said.. I played an oldskool set last night at The cabin - Porthcawl.

I think there are far too many DJ's playing boring hardcore stomping about behind the turntables gurning and punching their arms into the air on every beat, but that doesn't impress me much! The scenes gone too weird for my liking, personally I can only manage drum and bass, oldskool, and breakbeat, oh and turntablism as well. Ah, the old days.....*drifts off on a sea of memories with stiff nips and the hair on the back of her neck standing up...*Yeah went to many raves, ect, still listen to my old rave tunes especialy when i`m cleaning the house, gets it done a bit quicker, these days i love DJ Teisto, and a few others, like dance music, but not the ministry of sounds stuff I am an old raver..Thats always the sign of a talented DJ and I love to watch them in action, unlike the plonkers stomping gurning and punching the air like demented lunatics , thats not very talented at all! I used to frequent Tribal Gatherings, World Dances, Desires, and local smaller events. I suppose i was part of the 'E' generation, and i'm not ashamed. Was just remembering back to the late 80s early 90s when some of us used to go out to the old raves until it went into main stream clubs, have your musical tastes changed since then? Only oldskool or keep up with the current hardcore scene? Must admit I have to be in the mood now to listen to some trance, techno or happy hardcore. Do you keep to a particular genre like speed garage, techno, happy hardcore, trance, drum and bass etc? im a big prodigy fan, seen them twice, got there cds,you canni beat music for the jilted generation..for raves,we always took turns at driving,so when it was my turn it was funny seeing evryone of there head on drugs,i point and laff, does that sound horrid??? cause like it or not ppl take or took drugs at raves, personally i sat in a feild wi magic mushrooms.Happy hardcore, but no-where plays it, dirty nasty 180bpm acid techno, but no-where plays it. I still listen to some old skool, although not so much nowadays.I remember one time I got bust in the car park by under cover pigs and spent the night in the cells whilst all my mates where having the time of their lives. I tend to keep my hand in where Trance is concerned. Few of the raves looked like a millets sale with just a few tents and a couple of portaloos for 5-600 people, was mad and great, to old now, would be looking for me slippers and wondering where I could get a nice hot cuppa tea.
